I’m debugging a problem I’ve had for many months, possibly years using #nixos on VPS with Linode and Hetzner where the server will not come back up after a reboot. Mostly after an automated upgrade but I’ve been able to reproduce it by rebooting manually as well.
The problem is that sometimes the first stage cannot find the block device to mount and just hangs on an error message. I’ll share a screenshot later.
