Most ideology (and then into policy/law) is top down now from the WEF, WHO, Council of Rome, military/industrial/banking money etc. Grassroots protests to influence policy makers are almost non-existent. In fact, the only ones I can think of lately have been the stop lockdown demos and the Let Women Speak rallies and they are not doing as well as we'd like.
Pretty much every other demo/rally/protest/stunt is from an organisation which, if you dig for info, is well-funded and tacitly supported by governments. The event is for publicity and to further another agenda, resulting in a win-win for those in power. Just Stop Oil is a good example. If they get their way then governments get to promote their pseudo-green plans which they want to implement anyway; if there are complaints about them then governments get to strengthen the anti-protest laws.
The only way back from this is to keep pushing for real representative democracy as opposed to the simulacrum we currently have. Push back and say NO to anything imposed without proper consultation, vote Independent rather than the uniparty, hold people in authority to account through FofI requests, attending meetings etc.
We have to not want it more then they want it.
