Much like Star Wars & Star Trek, it’s all prequels, requels & cliffhangers whose tension depends on fan knowledge of the originals
Every Alien movie is trying to be Alien/Aliens—this time with a new toy! Not even Prometheus really breaks new ground beyond dragging Jesus into it
