I'll always remember my "soft landing" into package development when I first wrote a package that I published to CRAN.
My hope is that the person who commented has become a little kinder since this interaction. But I sure learned alot and learned that not all R devs lack tact.
The repo - which I've since made private is still around. Has also made me realize that a CRAN doesn't need to be the "end goal" for all your packages (while it is noble).
