I was hesitant about meeting with my old friend, but we got together outside at the Botanical Gardens to catch up after a quiet couple of years.
I don't really have words for how I feel. I was glad that I stuck to my covid safety ground rules and was able to be physically present and listen to what she needed me to hear.
We are the same age in years but a lifetime apart in how our bodies are holding up to the pressures we put on them.
A vanilla milkshake was just what I needed when I got home.
The garden was beautiful.
