Do you want to be a great leader? Fast
Hey you,
Quick notes, few thoughts on the matter:
Why fast can help be a great leader?
1.
You can control your reality.
I've heard something great that stays with me (it hits me and stays, usually most even the smartest words evaporated...) this words are:
"You want to control your reality but can you control yourself?"
(I'll share links where it comes from. It comes from humbly looking, very interesting person).
So it stayed with me.
Control reality... what about controling your environment, task you want to do, people you work with you want to lead to accomplishing that task.
You can control your body- its first step.
You can observe yourself.
Probably during second day of fasting you'll become more sensitive, maybe some triggers go out...
Many tests can appear and again - you can (or you dont have to, of course, its just an option) to observe yourself.
2.
You can lead yourself to real wealth by resisting power hungry instincts.
That's the quite new thing for me - how to let go.
There's time (especially in the environment that used to triggered me a lot, where I'm around my dad who is addicted from alkohol for example) that I eat because I want to calm myself (most people got it) but sometimes I eat with the spirit of anger and revenge ("it's your fault, you triggered me, I broke my fasting even if I promised myself X amount of fasting...all of this...)
So sometimes what happened is... I'm seeing I CAN let go... It's sad, but I'm not right here about the things... its just emotion... I'm keeping that food, bar of chocolate or whatever and I'm like - ok, I'm not really hungry.
I don't need it.
I really don't need that spike of dopamine that comes from eating.
Now I understand how it's true that sugar may be more addictive than some drugs.
Its not easy to let them go.
It's not easy to let go the FEEL and NEED to be right and the moment.
Control over yourself- yes
Power that fuels your ego- no.
3.
Become resistant to hedonistic devilish sirens.
Again, it can be eating to feel better, to feel, for one second, some pleasure or relief.
Resist it, don't be so cheap :))
Here's a disclaimer: I got really good days where I know I get this skills right and I got these days where fridge is mine you know :)
It's a process.
The point here is just to share my last thoughts and some experiences because its a journey and I'm on my journey too.
I hope it can inspire only one person.
Then I'd be happy and I win my day :))
Cheers!
