There are trade offs with all wallets, but Phoenix Wallet seems to have found a good balance. It is self custodial, so you will have to suck up the initial channel opening fee (open a large channel first time to avoid new channel openings later). I recently researched the Android wallet landscape when I transitioned my 9 years old daughter away from WOS, and ended up with Phoneix as the best for her. Personally I use Zeus wallet connected to my own node. Zeus can also be used without your own full node, but I haven't tried that out.
