While recognizing the very legitimate fears of the Baltic states, it's quite hard to imagine anyone in the Kremlin thinking it wouldn't be beyond disastrous to attack a NATO member state.
Even if Russia were to make some initial battlefield gains, the NATO response would be swift and overwhelming, nevermind the longer-term ability to ramp up its collective military and industrial might.
It should be abundantly clear to everyone that the Russian military really is a paper tiger.
