The Vice President of the Republic, Geraldo Alckmin, commented on Saturday, 7, on the decline in approval ratings of the Lula government and sought to highlight advances in various sectors. According to him, "the survey is a snapshot of the moment and needs to be taken as an incentive to work even harder". The statements were made in a press conference during a visit to Mistercryl in Brasilia. On government communication with the population, Alckmin recognized that there is room for improvement and assured that "we will communicate better". He also reminded that the presidential election is distant. "The election is not now, it's in a year and a half. There are two anxious people in life: politicians and journalists", he said. Alckmin also reaffirmed optimism for the near future. "We will have cheaper food, better inflation, economic growth. I think we will have better years this year and next year", he said. The Vice President also cited wars and tariff problems that impact the global economy. However, he highlighted that "Brazil has emerged as one of the countries that grow the most in the world". "The world is living in the most difficult moment", Alckmin said. Among the numbers presented, he emphasized the decline in unemployment, which reached "the lowest level in the historical series"; the increase in the wage mass and the growth of the automotive industry, which in Brazil was "almost five times higher than the global average".
