Just to make it clear:
• Designing a bridge between #Bluesky and #ActivityPub doesn't make Ryan Barrett a bad person. It just needs to be opt-in rather than opt-out.
• He doesn't deserve abuse for his initial design. He announced it in advance of launch in order to give people time to prepare. And he seems willing to reconfigure to make it more consent-based.
• Someone is going to deploy a bridge eventually. We're better off if it's someone who's responsive to feedback than someone who's not.
