I met lots of Americans and non Americans from all over the world at the halving party a few months ago. I’m not sure if it’s patriotism bc pretty much all of them said they didn’t want to move either bc business/ family or they love the States. I was pretty surprised by those answers. They all thought there was a realistic chance of a mad max scenario but none was serious about moving.
The way I see it , it’s like they are saying they know they are on the titanic but bc they have family not willing to jump off, they will also stay onboard. Sometimes I think they are using family as an excuse for their own fears.
