Yes, the ruining of the birdsite was a blow. But the #rstats community is so much more than one app.
Here on fosstodon, I feel more tight-knit; my timeline is a lot more "pure" to the people and things I care about.
Over on LinkedIn, I'm finding it much easier to expand my network, meet new folks, and encounter more longform posts with valuable info.
