I have zero people from my previous "network" here, and interact with maybe a dozen people, and I'm Nostr only. Probably because I got off social media *before* joining Nostr.
If you want growth, you have to recognize that 90% of social media users do not even post. They just want to 1. read the news, 2. find funny memes from other people, 3. follow a few celebrities.
All this could be achieved with bots that mirror X accounts, couldn't it?
