the slabbed pavement
the warm hours
torrential deluge
like butterflies
eyes shut tight
unlikely passions
swelling out of
their glossy mouths
long black coat
aura of red
the white linen
bedsheet was burned
my last stop
bitter and rabid
equally desolate
so there you are
