Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, and I am 100% on your side about ‘what are we celebrating?` question, we are in fact still celebrating our independence from a monarchy from a different country.
We are fighting to keep a monarchy from taking over here in this one. Let them be corrupt, as they stupidly do it in the plain view of the public, we can vote them ALL out once and for all, just like Britain did to the Tories today.
