Wow. I suppose the good news in such cases is that Amazon is on the hook for a replacement if the item gets stolen, as they’ve made an authoritative record of their own screwup.
I don’t see those on the local listserv, but I often see “I got a package with my address but Joe Random’s name. Anybody know where he lives?” Now that I’m older & fractionally less impatient, I don’t fire back a snarky comment about Google, but instead spend 3 seconds looking up Joe’s address.
