https://www.gurwinder.blog/p/the-outrageous-rise-of-neotoddlerism#kagi search gave me this little gem to read after i searched for "blatt"
mainly because i have become enamoured of using the word to mean "squashing a bug" and inspired by the "Ravenous Bug Blatter Beast of Traal" from the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy":
https://hitchhikers.fandom.com/wiki/Ravenous_Bugblatter_Beast_of_Traali don't even know if Douglas Adams intended to have any specific meaning to "blatter" in this iconic silly name, but i'm going to say that "bug blatting" means fixing a bug, so yeah
anyway, what's funny is this
this propensity i have for making up silly words, or adopting them vigorously, has long been a hobby of mine and an endless cause of me giggling to myself
you can possibly give me the title "Minister of Silly Words" but probably i'm not the silliest and thus would be a mere bureaucrat.
but i like this "neotoddlerism" it's got that vibe about it, of being a silly word construction, notably "toddle" is a classic example (and toodle, don't forget toodle) of silly word culture coming out of the british isles.
/me toddles off back to bug blatting
