"Glinner" is clearly a character from a Graham Linehan sitcom circa 1998, before the Brain Eater got him; an unhinged obsessive hater who engages in a crusade against the existence of ceramic doorknobs that consumes his life and destroys his marriage.
Picked "ceramic doorknobs" because their existence should impact his personal life about as much as the existence of trans folks. (Unless he's actually trying to deflect attention from an obsessive doorknob licking fetish.)
