This is my reasoning: If you take the average Joe who never fucked around with crypto and never had a wallet, it will be easier for him to start using USDT (“I know the dollar, this is just a crypto version of it, it is a small step/change for me and I’m willing/comfortable making it”).
At this point they have a wallet, they are used to spend crypto, and in the wallet they will also see BTC, and one day they’ll be like “ok let me convert some of my USDT into btc, it’ll take me 1 second” (having and being used to a wallet already take out a lot of friction.
The other scenario would be like telling average Joe “yeah I know you never used crypto, never had a wallet, and you don’t understand what bitcoin is, but just try and see how it goes”. In this scenario they will have to overcome multiple mental barriers and there la way more friction.
I’d love to witness hyperbitconization asap, but I think we need to remember that average Joe are scared as fuck of anything new and want as little friction as possible. While we can agree this is a shitty way to approach life, this is the reality of the majority, and instead of bashing them for it we should help them in their baby step
