Just talked to my sister. She is as dry-eyed and stoic as I expected her to be, knowing her. It's hard. She's ten years older than me and we're VERY different. I love her but we have nothing in common and conversation is always kind of stilted. So I want to reach out now to be there for her as she's dealing with the loss of her husband, but I never know what to say. We don't have that kind of rapport. I hope that my effort, however weak, still matters to her.
