Based parents. It's kind of their fault also though. It's an odd dynamic we live in now. The parents authority is eroded by public schools and the state. Your child has to have a strong relationship with you to undo that damage, which is extremely difficult with 2 working parents. Ultimately though, this is a parental failure, but at least they aren't indulging it and pretending their failure is actually a win.
