In the end,
photography is all that will be left
from that time
or the other
for clock doesn't run backwards.

Memories will fade,
and wrinkle along the edges
like an old photo
kept in the wallet for too long.

We try,
we do everything we can
to stop time -
Just for a second to pause
that moment of perfect bliss
and live the fairytale
of everlasting happiness.

It's relentless,
the time is.
But it's fair,
it treats everyone the same.

The most honest lover,
the most fierce warrior.
with a touch that leaves wrinkles,
and a kiss that's laying you down
six feet deep.

Some welcome its embrace,
and wear proudly all the greys.
Others run and mask
what time leaves behind.

We cannot outrun it,
we cannot hide
time will find us
wherever we are.
