I think what needs to happen is developers and companies hiring artists to create visual concepts.
We've seen where apps have been. We've seen what they've become. We have to start envisioning what they *could* be. The truth is that a lot of engineers can't do this on their own. Business will also never see the value in this.
But it must be done. Or we will be doomed to live in a world where apps aren't allowed to make us feel anything. Fun cannot be reserved for games.
