Around a third of women in the UK in their mid-30s now have had no children... there are, of course, a range of possible reasons:
waiting to secure their career before the 'mummy track' kicks in;
being less interested in the personal costs of parenthood;
economic costs of parenthood seem too high;
a falling confidence in the future....
and that (across the world) women with more education have less children.
Being childless myself I sympathise!
