Pure speculation, but have not seen any definitive updates on the damage in Jasper, but yesterday they cleared all fire crews without SCBA -- ie all wildland crews pulled -- and any structure defense would also require light/air support and typically hundreds of firefighters for a single structure fire... that could not have lasted very long. Apparently 200-300 ft flames on the front per CBC reporting, which is grim. Damage (in my opinion) could be quite catastrophic. #Jasper #wildfire #JasperNationalPark
