There may be a shift away from qualification-based recruitment towards a focus on skills.
According to #LinkedIn listings that did not require a degree nearly doubled between 2021 & 2022
Searches by recruiters are also now 5 times more likely to search on the basis of skills rather than qualification.
Of course, LinkedIn data is self-selected & partial, but it may still indicate a shift in labour market focus... even if qualifications still end up shaping prospects in the selection process!
