I suppose in the end, the Fediverse’s biggest fail point was also its greatest strength. It attracted people who give a shit. But that’s probably not even 10% of the human race on its best day. So it was never likely to go mainstream in its current form. But that doesn’t mean it can’t still be an important place for important things, and great works of creativity, craft and caring.
