My first exposure to this was seeing it on amazon I believe and buying volume 1 than later seeing a few vtubers reading volume 1 on youtube making me want to just read it myself so I went through book 1 and enjoyed it enough but never felt any urge to read volume 2 sense I knew at some point it would get an anime. YEARS later we got one and I didn’t have high expectations for an isekai anime with the flat lazy art style but assumed it would at least be as decent as Saving 80000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement sense they seemed like similar ideas but sadly it decided to force that “comedic” overdose into it making everything seem joke worthy overthetop stupid without the actual comedy to back it up causing extreme disbelief and thus overall boredom sense she’s overpowered and nothing really stands in her way. After saying that there really isn’t much else to say, the plot doesn’t matter because potion girl figures something out every time only being inconvenienced by how others view her as she tries to be “normal” while doing everything she can to stand out but failing “not on purpose”.

Where the show leaves off is perfect so we never need a season 2 of it and there’s 0 reason to want one. If anything I’d prefer these isekai that get only 1 season to be put into audiobook form sense I think the book versions are often at least mildly more enjoyable to their generic anime counterparts. As sad as this may seem even at least season 1 of By the Grace of the Gods was better than this and I was not a fan of the show.


Best Quality: The potion bottle designs sometimes looked neat.


Worst Quality: The power the main character has, it’s bullshit and ruins any other aspect of the show.

Deus Ex Bullshit: The main characters power was so broken it ruined the whole show by itself.




Comedies Tragedy: Having a lighthearted feel in a show is fine and often times can cause it from feeling hopeless and dull but when it’s used to much it ruins the whole show especially if they ever try to be serious about anything afterwards.




Overall just read the light novel or go watch or read Saving 80000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement, it isn’t to different from this show with a overpowered skill but it’s played out much better than this one and more thought out, I give this show a 3/10 sense I can still watch it but groaning at the lack of any real stakes all the way.
