We left two healthy senior pups behind in Seattle yesterday so we could visit in-laws in western NY. The last visit was six years ago.
The walker visited at 3 PM and saw something was wrong. He called his boss. His boss called us. We gave a go to rush our girl to the animal hospital. There were many hard phone calls.
The hospital called at about 6. She barely survived intubation. Surviving abdominal surgery was a stretch.
We okayed euthanasia sobbing in a parking lot.
