I mean, not that it matters.
Considering dropping actual microformats parsing from my add-on, too, and relying solely on the presence of a Reply block. It’d save a dependency, and I wouldn’t have to store reply details in post meta (parsing blocks has to be more efficient than parsing for mf2, so I could maybe do it on render rather than on save).
