One of the great games you can’t legally play anymore: Sid Meier’s SimGolf, a 2002 collaboration between the people who make Civilization and the people who make The Sims.
Given a plot of land and a budget, you have to design a golf course that can keep a stream of little Sim golfers of varying interests and skill levels happy, while running the business end of things wisely enough to turn a profit. And when you get bored with that stuff, you can take your own little Sim golfer out and play through your course.
I have never understood the appeal of golf, but I loved this game.
