Tweaked an almost 20 year old website yesterday. Edited some HTML, changed a bit of CSS. Hit Cmd+S, and went on with my life. A shit way of working from a money-making business perspective (hourly billing usually is my thing, and I never got value based pricing), but I’m so happy I never set foot on the npm treadmill.
I started on this journey in 2004; https://www.bvalmere.nl is my longest running self-hosted project so far, and it’s still being actively used.
#HTML + #CSS will outlive me.
