One way scammers always identify themselves on a call is when you say "Hello", and they just repeat "Hello" back then wait for you to initiate more conversation.
You know that you''re a complete freaking stranger to me, calling my phone. Any normal person would identify themselves and the purpose of their call, not wait for me to start.
It always frustrates me that they start their pitch after the 3rd back-and-forth hello. I'm not exchanging pleasantries with you when I don't know who you are.
