I gave it a short go. Saw lots of familiar faces, bit also saw the old Twitter snark imbued into nearly every discourse. Remembered how toxic that space was for me. Everybody shouting, nobody listening.
It is a problem that most folks will only see the joy of Mastodon (etc) once they've signed up. And they won't sign up until they see the joy in it. I'm just glad there's enough nice people here for me to have a community.
