Presumably in the context of if he's doing changes to make better product to better appeal to an audience, as product. Or if he's doing it in order to tell a better story. @Kazak said it pretty succinctly elsewhere in this thread. Western content makers aren't trying to tell stories or make engaging visuals or whatever. They're not even engaged in the creative process.

What they're doing is pure content and they're doing it to spite a bunch of people who really don't consume it, which is why it all comes out as vulgar dogshit. They can't even do the basic bitch of "this was good entertainment" let alone try and go for the artistic, because they have neither the attitude or the competence to pull it off.
