This is not applicable to me, because I am in Asia, and courts don't have juries here.
The question came up from hearing that in most of American territories, juries are selected by the opposing lawyers, and can be removed by the judge without explanation to shape the trial outcome.
Everywhere, most would do anything to avoid being selected, to escape income loss during a long trial.
