Life is a cruel joke. It spits you out into this world and makes you fight for every breath, every scrap of food, every shred of happiness. And just when you think you've got it all figured out, it rips it all away from you.

My puppy, friends, family, my loyal companions—trie and true friends—taken from me too soon. It's been a knife in the gut, a punch to the face, a bullet in the heart. I find myself only becoming angrier, and angrier.

But you know what? That anger has given me clarity. It's shown me how precious life is, how every moment is a gift to be treasured, how we must fight tooth and nail to keep what we love.

This land, this culture, this way of life—we need to protect it. We're not here forever, but we can make a difference while we are. Fighting in wars, hunting big game, drinking and cursing and living hard. We used to know what was worth fighting for.

We can't let the bastards win. We can't let the greed and the apathy and the hatred destroy what we hold dear. We have to fight back, with every ounce of strength we have.

Honor the memory of those we've lost by fighting for what we believe in. Be angry. Be gritty, Be raw.

That's what it takes to survive in this world.
