The Youth of Al Ain folk arts troupe will showcase a part of Emirati culture at the Fort Festival 2025, organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, with a slogan Living Expression of Abu Dhabi Culture. The troupe will perform daily shows on the rhythm of the Al Ayala music, amidst a lively interaction with visitors of various nationalities and ages. The troupe's leader, Meshab Khalifa Al Jumaa, said that the troupe consists of 40 members and will perform a lively and interactive show throughout the festival, showcasing traditional Emirati folk arts such as the Warah and Al Azee. He added that they are looking forward to this exceptional participation in the Fort Festival every year to highlight Emirati folk arts, introduce the younger generation to the heritage of their ancestors, and feel proud and happy when they find the audience eagerly waiting for and interacting with their daily shows. The troupe will present traditional heritage performances using local traditional instruments, such as the Rahmani, Samaa, and Kassar, which are used in the Al Ayala music. The Al Ayala performance is a traditional show that is performed by two rows of men, each holding hands, with a musical band playing the drums, cymbals, and tambourines, to present a collective performance that embodies the meanings of strength, chivalry, and unity. The troupe members will gather in various festival areas to perform this collective art, which combines Al Ayala with other folk arts, and begins with the beating of the drums, cymbals, and tambourines, which shows the meanings of strength and chivalry derived from the Bedouin and desert life. The leader of the troupe praised the significant role of the Fort Festival in preserving heritage, safeguarding old folk arts, and reviving them through the participation of folk troupes that showcase these traditional arts, saying that the festival is one of the largest and most prominent cultural festivals that celebrates heritage, and the organizers take great care to preserve traditional performing arts and showcase Emirati traditions and customs in a unique atmosphere.
