older wacom tablets use the same serial interface as super old wacom tablets passed over usb

and somebody at ubuntu decided to delete the set serial call for wacom tablets from the bootup

so a bunch of old wacom tablets are just dead on anything built from the Ubuntu version of the kernel.

(also had this problem with my laptop that had a wacom display and my old bamboo)
