I literally audit source code for a living.
I was lamenting that Mastodon lacks built-in operator controls to disable notifications. I of course can make direct database changes and trace source code (see: https://noauthority.social/@eriner/111767355966604144).
My complaint was that I have to jump through the hurdles, not that it's impossible for me to do so.
