From #Neuroscience we know that neurogenesis comes from visiting new places, having new experiences, physical activity, basically any kind of environmental or “life” #Enrichment.
And neurogenesis is good for learning and adapting (I’m not thinking of any study in particular but I think it’s been shown - right?).
Still, when someone does something wrong according to societal laws, we put them in “prison” where the conditions are the opposite of enrichment and it is likely that the person will have very little neurogenesis, making it harder for them to change their ways.
Isn’t that the wrong way to go?
