You should enable user-facing crash reporting in Settings > Security & privacy > More security & privacy > Notify about system process crashes. This will give you a user-facing notification about system process crashes with a traceback you can send to us. It's likely an Android bug but we can sometimes fix those ourselves fairly easily.
