At Salin-de-Giraud, paused at the small monument to the Vietnamese workers who were taken by force and made to work like slaves in France from 1939-1952, among other things to plant the now famous Camargue rice.
I mention this disgraceful history in the book I #AmWriting, so I wanted to stop by and see this monument put up in 2014.
