"content": "I think gun nerds have a real problem overblowing minor concerns because guns at their core are such a simple thing. Compared to more complex hobby machines, they're boring, so guys have to obsess over the same 3 details when they don't really matter that much in the grand scheme of things. \n\nThe car fags don't obsess over shifter/wheel shapes this much. Maybe it's just the \"machines as appliances\" versus \"machines as hobbies\" aspect that bugs me. Everyone thinks they need a gunslinger's pistol, but if we're honest with ourselves we're better suited for a conscript pistol. \n\nI understand having a preference but I'm not sticking my nose up at a glock for its european accent when it brings the track record. I can't think of a failure in all my range time watching people shoot their duty guns, and that ain't something I can say for the hk fags.
