Despite struggling to get the first one out, there is the "OMG, there could be a hidden antagonist driving this one that we don't know about, that's another story" thought nagging at me. Fortunately, the link can be accomplished with little more than a few hints. I want this work to feel like it reaches closure.
Then I've invented a back story for a secondary character in this story that is pretty deep. There's at least one book there, probably two.
