Had a long interesting talk tonight with my hubby and kid, that included the topic of a family member I'm estranged from and how very messed up my relationship with them was for so long. And how I look back and can't understand how no one ever broke in and said to me, "You know _____ is weird, right?" When I asked family/friends years later, they said, "I thought you wanted it like that."
But I didn't know it could be different. Because it was like that from birth.
