They got a huge payday from that endeavor, for reasons I don't fully understand but I suspect have to do with money laundering and a threat to the established PCI business model.
It only got worse from there.
Musk is not an engineer, innovator, nor role model to anyone with a "soul", as far as I can tell. He needs to be relegated to the trash heap of history, having contributed nothing but taken much himself.
