Update: bag was taken by someone with the same bag. We know her name (from her bag she left behind) and location (from the AirTag) but she didn’t have her number on her bag so we can’t get ahold of her. The airline is going to turn this into a multi day fiasco. Good god.
Checked bag was stolen at LAX. In case you were wondering, Los Angeles is indeed a third world country.
