I’m not suggesting they be pacifists or defenseless but let’s be real, defense is mostly a psyop.
How many modern wars have been about defense? The USA has, to my knowledge, been attacked twice and the second time it completely disregarded the actual perpetrators of the attack and focused on killing Iraqis instead.
The USA tends to favour attack waaaayyyyy more than defense. Maybe this time it will be different… or maybe not. Time will tell.
