Does anyone know what this device is?

I got a new work PC yesterday, and this was in the box. There was no paperwork in the box and nothing to suggest what the accessory might be.

In lieu of alt text for the three photos, the first one shows a close-up of the cables for the device. There are two cables that look sort of like smaller coax or fiber cables. Each has a gold/bronze collar to screw onto the card in the back of the PC.

The second photo shows the device in context. The two cables go in parallel into a two-inch plastic square that has the Dell logo on it.

The third photo shows the back of the PC, with an accessory card installed just above the video card. On the back of the card are two gold/bronze ports that clearly match the cables.

My only theory is that this is an external wifi antenna, but the wifi works just fine as-is.

I've never seen anything like this, and my online searching has produced nothing. Any ideas?
